Flower Show

District IV stages a Flower Show according to National Garden Club standards. The shows essentially consist of floral designs created by Garden Club members and horticulture specimens grown in their gardens. They are competitively judged by nationally accredited judges. Various special educational exhibits often are included. The purpose of such shows is to educate Club members and the public, to stimulate interest in horticulture and floral design and to provide an outlet for creative expression.

Garden clubs throughout the state also hold flower shows that many of our members not only enjoy attending, but also earn awards.

For the first time District IV will be hosting a Standard Flower Show in conjunction with the York Quilters Guild, “A Quilter’s Journey: Then and Now” exhibit at Grumbacher Sports Center at York College, York, PA. The dates are 10 and 11 June 2022. The show is open to the public and admission is $10.00 to both events. More information is forthcoming, so check back periodically.
